What if you use the same tactics that food advertisers used on you to make yourself as thin and healthy as you want to be? It’s way more effective because what’s every food ad doing? They’re trying to create some emotion and then attach their product to it, and that creates desire and forward momentum to get it. So what if we did the same exact thing with your dream body? You can do it right now, it’s so simple, and it feels so good. All you need to do is relax your face, relax your shoulders, relax your chest, and your stomach.
Now, let’s take a deep breath in and slowly let it out. Take another deep breath in and slowly let it out. Now, I want you to think about your goal weight. I want you to imagine what number you would like to wake up at tomorrow. I know this is a fantasy, but commercials are fantasies, aren’t they? So, I want you to imagine the number that you want to wake up tomorrow at. I want you to imagine it was a magical evening and you woke up tomorrow morning in the exact body that you want to live in, the exact weight, feeling as good as you want to feel.
Now, before I even hop out of bed, I want you to feel that body on the outside. How does it feel to lie in bed with that body? Now, imagine yourself hopping out of bed, getting dressed in the exact clothes that you would put on that body, as that version of you. How do you want to dress? Put that outfit on in your mind, put it onto your body, and notice how it feels to get dressed in that body.
Now, imagine yourself moving through your morning, whatever you’re going to do tomorrow, same stuff, but you’re in this body, slim, healthy, energized, feeling the way you want to feel. And now, imagine yourself moving through your day, speaking with the people that you’re going to run into, but you’re in this body, as this version of you. Notice how you speak, notice how your conversations go, notice how you move, notice how you work, how you do what you typically do, but as this version of yourself.
Maybe it’s easier to move around, maybe it’s more comfortable to move up and down stairs, get it out of chairs, little things. Pay attention to those because they can be so powerful. Really connect to this body, feel it in every cell of your being, connect to this identity, this version of you. Notice how easy it is to make healthier food choices. Notice that you have healthy cravings when you’re thinking this way, when you feel this way. It becomes almost automatic that you’re going to maintain this weight for the rest of your life because it feels so good inside and out.
Now, take yourself through the rest of that day. So, it’s back to bedtime, you’re getting ready to get back in bed in that body. Get into bed, reflect on your wonderful day, knowing that the next day you get to live it all over again. The more you do this, the more you think of yourself as this version of you, the more you start to create this forward momentum, just like the advertisers are using on you.
