Have you ever been eating really well, maybe even exercising and then one day you end up pigging out on something? Now as soon as this happens most people say something like: “Oh no, I blew it.”
“I was doing so well, and now I ruined it.” But at this point you can instead accept that you didn’t eat the way that you want to and then refocus and redecide that you want to continue eating well.
You see that first thing you eat that throws you off track is not the problem as much as what we tell ourselves that means. Remember the saying: “There is no failure, only feedback.” And use that to recalibrate yourself after you make any mistakes.
