You can’t hate yourself healthy. Although it’s common to try and use hate, frustration and anger about your body as a way to motivate yourself, it rarely works. The alternative is to build your motivation around love for your body (even if you’re not happy with how it looks). Start by focusing on “functional gratitude”, what your body CAN and DOES do for you every day. Your eyes, ears, legs, arms, hands. Appreciate what they do for you. Then move into loving the rest of your body. Feel a deep sense of connection, adoration and joy for it because it’s the only one you’re getting. Remember, you can love your body AND want to improve it. You’ll get better results and enjoy the process more if you approach it this way.
